The Introduction of Digital Camera Brands

I have to commit that I know little about digital camera brands, but recently I collect some information of them from the internet since I am going to buy one. Because I will graduate from college in June and I want to own a camera with high quality to memorize my college life. I will be happy to share this information with all of you.


Canon is a Japanese multinational corporation that specializes in the manufacture of imaging and optical products, including cameras, photocopiers, steppers and computer printers. Its headquarters are located in Tokyo, Japan.

Fuji’s camera film comes in distinctive green boxes and is sometimes rebranded as own-label film, such as President’s Choice. Fuji products are distinct in their uniform containers. Fuji photographic films are considered along with, and often compete against, those produced by Eastman Kodak. Their products are sold in over 200 countries internationally. Since 1982, Fuji, is one of the main sponsors of the FIFA World Cup.

Nikon is specializing in optics and imaging. The companies held by Nikon form the Nikon Group.Among its products are Nikkor imaging lenses (for F-mount cameras, large format photography, photographic enlargers, and other applications), the Nikon F-series of 135 film SLR cameras, the Nikon D-series of digital SLR cameras, the Coolpix series of compact digital cameras, and the Nikonos series of underwater film cameras.

Olympus has a long history in camera and lens design. In 1936, Olympus introduced its first camera, the Semi-Olympus I. The first truly innovative camera series from Olympus was the PEN models, launched in 1959. Half-frame format, allowing 72 pictures of 18 × 24 mm format on a standard 36 exposure roll of film, made PEN cameras compact and portable for their time
